Question about the case color, can't seem to find what's the difference between the grey and silver case, anyone has any idea?

mralexgohThe only thing I can find is the photos on the Join Drop page -- the gray seems to have rounded, smooth edges and the silver case looks to have beveled, silvered edges. Though I can't tell for example if the gray case is more matte than the silver one.

BaneJamminI did some digging, and from what I can find, the silver is what you see in the pictures and has been in all previous drops. It's very light, almost white, especially with the white less on.
Of the few pictures I've found of the gray, it looks a lot darker. This is the most clear picture I could find of it.

mralexgohLooking at the pictures on Massdrop, it looks like the Gray version have rounded non-chamfered edges compared to the Silver and Black one. FYI: The pictures with the Typewriter keycaps is the Gray version, and it looks like it also comes with a gray bottom plastic case too. I also found this picture, u can use to compare color differences between the top plates.

BartolomeoYep that's correct. The gray version can be seen on the typewriter photos and it doesn't have the chamfered edges. White/silver is the ones you can see with the ABS keycaps and the black is just the black version of that.

YanboWu@YanboWu - can you check with your supplier? From Amazon photos of the backlit and non-backlit Magicforce 68, the backlit has chamfered edges, and the non-backlit has rounded edges. Since you were sent the non-backlit keyboard with the typewriter keycaps, I suspect that's why your gray case has rounded edges. People who bought the gray case expecting rounded edges may be disappointed if they get the chamfered one instead.

"To answer your questions, if you order a black case with the ABS Doubleshot option, you will be receive the white caps. The LED (Lights) you can choose blue LED with gold WADS (key colors in LED)."
So who is right? And is the implication that the black case doesn't have white LED option?

jackwigglesYeah me too, but I wondered if massdrop support was suggesting that the black/white keys were dictated by LED colour choice. Anyway I got the same model a lot cheaper than here but just with kailh switches
