Apparently it's really important when you force a patina with copper oxidizing chemicals to closely follow the instructions on proper dilution and time before rinsing:

For reference, this is a forced patina of a Panerai Luminor Submersible after 28 days in Newman's Own Balsamic Vinaigrette.
