Just got mine today. Overall satisfied for the price, but there are a couple of unfortunate issues. First the good. It looks great. It's hefty. The movement is solid. It's unique. The case back is elegant. The included straps are thick and plush. The dome is out of this world.
The bad.. well first I wish I got the hawksbill. I like the rounded indices but due to the size of the watch itself and the fact that they're painted on they look a little bland. They dont look bad by any means, and the maroon dial is beautiful overall, but the applied indices of the hawksbill would look better I'm sure. My fault I guess.
My real concern is with the bronze work. Never had a bronze watch before but there's plenty of imperfections in the bronze on the strap clasps and on the case itself. I'm hoping it's just part of the charm, and at this price I can't complain, but I've included a couple of pictures in case anyone can chime in.
My only other silly complaint is that because of the ridiculous (and awesome) some, snapping a good pic without everything reflecting in the crystal is Damn near impossible! I managed to snap a half decent shot on my wrist though.

FlypanamMy watch has the same pitting issues. None of the photos showed any imperfections. Is the a sale of cosmetic seconds?

Flypanambronze is a reactive alloy, it will develop a patina like that over time, even when it is in storage waiting to be bought. If you don't like the marks just give it a quick shine with a cape cod cloth. Mine arrived with some uneven patina like that, assuming it was uneven because of the wrapping, but a quick polish brought it to a shine now it will age evenly.

RPattThat's great to know. As mentioned I've never owned a bronze watch before so I wouldn't have known this is normal without your input.
Thank you!

RPattJaimeT is talking about pitting. That's not the same as patina & should not be normal. Can you provide pictures?

bugeyedTrue, I'd like to see pictures as well. There shouldn't be any pitting, but discoloration can be easily remedied.
