It All Adds Up

Bringing you the power of creation with no destructive side effects, the MakerBot Replicator Fifth Generation is a world-class 3D printer that minimizes material costs, maximizes efficiency, and comes with a price tag far below its potential value. Using fused filament fabrication, the Replicator creates ultra high resolution models right out of the box.

Build It Better

Enabling you to build as big as your dreams, the MakerBot Replicator Fifth Generation has one of the largest build volumes in its class, giving you a total of 456 cubic inches to work with. Arriving in a solid structure engineered to last, minimal assembly is required and little maintenance needed. Out of the box, all you have to do is install the smart extruder that mounts securely using magnets, load the filament spool, and follow the prompts on the 3.5" LCD display to get started. Once you have some test prints under your belt, check out the MakerBot Thingiverse a thriving design community for discovering, making, and sharing 3D printable things.

MakerBot Makes Sense

All of the involved steps are simple to learn, letting you get up to full speed within minutes of receiving your Replicator. After we unboxed the Replicator, we were able to print a fully functional nut and bolt without breaking a sweat. Fast forward 30 minutes later, and we were making chain link that linked as it was printing, Massdrop logos, and even parts to a bird feeder with antlers as a perch. Birdhouse competitions will never be the same. For even more incentive, the 3D printer uses PLA filament, a renewable bioplastic that offers more efficient printing and higher performance than traditional ABS plastic.

Bonus Round

How about a few extras to seal the deal? In case you want to document every step of your build process, an onboard camera lets you monitor and photograph your models from inception to final construction. For even further distinction, the MakerBot Replicator Fifth Generation boasts a smart extruder that pauses printing and alerts you when you’ve run out of filament. For a few final perks, you’ll get an integrated 3.5” LCD display, an internal diagnostic that adjusts your build plate to maintain a level surface, and your choice of inputs between USB sticks, USB cables, and an Ethernet connection.
