Looks like a genuine tool watch. Lots of positive sentiment of the brand in the wus forums.
Almost pulled the trigger. My only reservation is the clutter with the descent bezel and the chapter ring with military time. I think the descent bezel shouldn't be the focus of the watch-it should be the dial. The dial's beauty is too restrained in the small inner circle. It should be more prominent.
If they could update the series I would hope they put more emphasis on the black aperture blades in a larger dial.
- extend aperture motif in a larger dial. - a simpler bezel with minutes - no military time
I'd imagine all this would compromise the depth rating. But I'd be fine with a 200m depth rating. I'm not a diver so I'd make that compromise for imrpoved aesthetics. And I'm sure if they take that route please get rid of the helium escape valve (just seems odd on wrists of people that don't dive).
Perhaps it could be a separate version. E.g. Rolex Submariner and Sea Dweller lines.
I'll be on the lookout for this brand. Good stuff.

ZeroAPRI have pulled the trigger on this as a novelty... I think that if you consider the diameter, the dial might be a bit bigger than it seems. Looking forward to seeing it in person... could be a collectable if the brand continues successfully because of the unique patented bezel... who knows!? 😉

I am really captured by this mechanism, both as a long time diver and watch collector. I am always fascinated by creative engineering and innovation. As far as watches go, this is a winner! I'm in on the drop, but I am just a tiny bit concerned about it's size. Excited nonetheless!

It does not calculate depth according to the manufacturer’s information. The bezel is marked in accordance with the recommended rate of ascent rather than being a dive timer. Check their web site.

Haven't read much about the dial but agree with comment as purely a backup device. I love to look at my diver's while diving but the computer does the serious work. Always good to have a backup though. Plus I can justify buying more divers!

That is such a cool watch. Does anyone know what mecanism they use to calculate the depth? Does it use the water pressure and air in a little line?

AlexLandryS After watching the tutorial, it appears that it is simply a bezel that you rotate to your dive DEPTH as coordinated with the minute hand at the time of ASCENT using the Navy dive ascent rate; as the minute hand proceeds, it indicates ONLY your ascent and safety stop. This bezel does not rotate on its own or indicate anything other than elapsed time... just as a standard bezel would.
While I have bought this watch, I would not count on it as anything other than a backup device to my computer and depth gauge. It is a cool timepiece and novelty. Not a valid diving timer of any type as it doesn't comport with good dive practices as established by use of a DESCENDING time bezel as found on a standard dive watch, other than the safety stop if you are good enough to set your max depth with the bezel.
I could be wrong, but this seems to be how this device works. I will report when it arrives!

lwerdThe inner ring only reflects the military time standard as might be read on the PM rotation of the hour hand... only a reference number I believe... as would be found on a military watch for GMT
