Lightweight yet extremely durable, 1000D Cordura has proven its worth in harsh outdoor weather time and time again. And that’s why it’s the material of choice for each of these hiking packs from Manhattan Portage Read More
Has anyone here used one of these before? I just want a good sturdy and hardy backpack for use everyday. I had a condor 3 day assault pack which lasted a year before the main zipper stitching came undone ad became useless. Otherwise it could handle being fully loaded quite well. Would anyone be able to suggest a solid everyday workhorse bag?
MkbnaturalHaven't used this product and looks like drop may not succeed. Fjällräven had a "retro" backpack on here recently made with new materials. Don't have that either but their pants are well made. I didn't get Fjällräven's pack as I grew up with that type of pack and never liked closing them. Used Hazard4 bags. Happy with them, but never seen them in drop. On three years with one.
thelittlepawnGreenbelt: Width: 11 in x Height: 18 in => space enough for a "Padded laptop compartment (up to 15 inches)".
Daypack and Greenbelt has the same dimensions except at depth so the answer must be yes.
I gotta say... To label this as a "hiking" backpack is a misappropriated fallacy.
The strap design, the lack of support straps, the lack of external bottle holders, multi functional pockets for different things you need hiking or camping, and a lack of a camelback makes this, just.... A backpack. It's cool, for school especially, but a hiking backpack this is not.
BrakeRewisWell I'm just glad that MD is offering a backpack that allows me to cross/portage the many deep streams in downtown NY especially undetected in camo. :/
