Is this any different than the SOG hand axe? Looks identical.
The Sargent stripes logo make it "Tactical". 440C, no thank you.

Just curious... why is 440C grade steel a negative for you?
ItsOldGreg
440c is a good high carbon steel...but it's cheap and it's not the hardest compound available... With a tool that has a thinner blade like this, 1084 or a vanadium alloy would do better.
Man I would have been ALL-IN if shipping was not so expensive... Free Shipping to USA and I'M IN!
This would look great in my trunk.
Last picture illustrates a woman chopping some wood off an unwanted enemy.
Needs a bottle opener...
I bought it, and the quality seems decent.... short of the top pin holding the scales on broke off first use... it seems to be decent haha
Just kidding... it's garbage. Stripped hex heads on handle upon arrival. Top "rivet" broke first use. can sharpen but is garbage steel.
33 beans delivery for AU... dreaming
Would this go through New Zealand customs
I want to know if this is worth it, of some gimmick.

well it really depends what you want to use it for. There are lots of reviews on youtube for "tactical" axes. and lots of ppl (mostly preppers) that also review this stuff. I'm going to bet most people would buy this and then leave it to collect dust. If you want to chop real wood, you want to a real ax. But these do have their uses.
$33.00 shipping for France ahahaha wtf
That axe is niice..makes me wanna go chop some wood :d
Would buy if shipping wasn't 3/5ths of the cost to get one…
33 dollar in chipping is a joke
I would suggest not buying from Mantis or Quartermaster. A father-son team that are very unscrupulous. Check out their histories and I think you'll pass on their products.
BoxBlade
Care to elaborate?
Is there a pic of the sheath?
In my back pocket it goes. :D
