Since this is posted in the photography community I'd like to ask how people are using, or want to use, this bag with their photography gear? Is it just for tripods or will you store camera bodies and lenses too? I really like this form factor but I'm not sure how I'd protect my gear while hiking around with this bag.

I used this bag to carry my camera and things in Europe. Pretty much any sized camera body will fit nicely on the bottom of the bag, trouble is padding it out, I just used a fleece jacket between the screen of my d80 and the bottom of the bag and that was fine. Granted I had one camera and one lens, if you had more you might need to get creative separating your body from other lenses and tripod in the bag.
