I also found the NATO strap was a bit too large for me. I clamped a nickle on the end of the band and used sharp scissors to cut the last three holes off. I then used a torch to finish the ends. No extra flap-age on the band now and the tail sits right under the keeper now ( I wear the watch on the 2nd to last hole).
