I purchased in a June drop. Dove into the Aegean in August and the watch stopped working. I would highly recommend against purchasing this watch.

AkoglockoDo you know what it was that made it stop working? Water intrusion from the crown not being screwed down? Or something else? Also wondering if you have contacted CountyComm about it and if you have what did they say? I'm just curious, thanks in advance.

Huckleberry.actualI have not contacted anyone yet, I just got back & I'm not sure who exactly to contact. The glass got foggy & had a few tiny bubbles. I took the watch off when this was noticed & after returning from my excursion, 6-7 hours later, it had stopped working. Nothing I did made it start ticking again. $250+ for a watch that can't handle being submerged in water, literally less than 6' deep, should not be purchased, lesson learned. Water Resistant to 100m should be changed to 100mm. Buyers beware, "Final Sale" for a reason. Extremely disappointed. I can't be the only one with this problem.

AkoglockoThere's loads of happy Maratac owners and without knowing the exact cause you can't start telling people to not buy this watch.

AkoglockoDude, contact support before you bitch. I cracked my bezel from the same drop and Cc and Massdrop both offered to replace it.... Not sure what the problem is until you try to contact support. I can almost guarantee you you'll get a replacement for leakage

HappyHoundsAs to the many owners, I assume most are not submerged under water, but in this instance water leaked in, thus this watch failed. I'm not here to "b*tch", I posted as a heads up to others before they are left disappointed.

AkoglockoWith all due respect, you still haven't confirmed that the crown was properly screwed down. If it wasn't then that is definitely where the water got in. If that is the cause then it is 100% your fault. It could be considered bitching if you came here to warn others against buying a product that you caused the failure on, especially since you haven't contacted CountyComm to get any kind of resolution or confirmation of what the issue is. Just my 2 cents. I'll only be disappointed if you don't do anything about your broken watch other than tell other people not to buy the same one for reasons that could be specifically related to the end user.

Huckleberry.actualFair enough, but the crown was screwed down tightly, why I'm posting. I'm not doubting service, I'm sure this will be resolved, but definitely the product, per my experience.

AkoglockoI hope everything works out for you. I don't have any doubts that it will get resolved. I personally have no negative experiences to speak of with them. Some reviews here and there might have you think otherwise but at the end of the day they are a small business and not everyone understands how that works, so some negative feedback can be expected. Again, good luck and if you don't mind let me know how it goes.

AkoglockoIt seems like your crown was fully screwed down before you submerged it in water, so i'm sorry to hear about the leakage. If you haven't done so already, please contact our Support at massdrop.com/support and we'll help you out.

Huckleberry.actualAgain, I'm disappointed in the product, not the service. No way is my intention to bad mouth Massdrop or CountyComm. I noticed this drop and posted my experience, so I apologize if anyone thought I was hear just to talk trash. My brand new watch failed me & I'm a little upset. I will give an update once this is handled.

AkoglockoYou are right. I would be upset if mine leaked. Hopefully you'll be happy with the replacement and it will hold up.

HappyHoundsNo replacement...Buyers Beware! Do not submerge this watch underwater at any depth. I haven't responded, yet, to her reply, but wanted to let everyone know this watch can, apparently, only handle a little drizzle. somehow according to "the specs" water-resistant to 100 meters = approximately 6'. I sent this email: "Hello, We were on a sailing trip in Greece in August & my watch failed the first time I jumped into water. Fog and water bubbles were noticed under the glass, once out of the water. The watch was still functioning, at that time, so I checked the crown, which was sealed tight. I took off the watch & later noticed it stopped ticking. I tried winding it, but it wouldn’t start. Please advise on what action I should take to resolve this issue. Thank You, ______"
Their Response: "Hi ____,
Thank you for reaching out to Massdrop Support, and for your patience as you awaited our reply due to the backlog we're currently experiencing from this past Labor Day weekend - we're doing our absolute best to answer everyone's inquiry!
As noted in the Specs in the Product's description page, this watch is water resistant - and not water proof. After submerging yourself/the watch into a body of water, we see how this would affect the watch as it was not manufactured to withstand the noted depth/impact. Due to this, we are unable to issue a replacement for this watch as it falls under wear and tear (not covered by our warranty).
We apologize for the predicament and overall inconvenience!
Warmly, Kat"
Buyers Beware...

HappyHoundsUpdate #2: After a review, Support emailed a shipping label to return the damaged watch & stated a replacement watch will be sent out, ASAP. I'm still not sure, after their initial email, if this watch can safely be submerged in water at all, but I appreciate the fact they agreed to replace the watch.

AkoglockoTheir initial response was ridiculous since 100m is suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and other water sports other than diving. I'm glad they came to their senses and took care of you.
