jfortI believe that $209 was for what they call the Maratac Mid Pilot II (http://www.countycomm.com/midpilot2013.html), which adds 24-hour and 5-minute markings to the dial.
This drop (Oct 2015) is for they have come to call the Maratac Mid Pilot Original
(http://www.countycomm.com/maratacpilotmid.html).
As far as the price, consider that the larger (46mm), but otherwise identical Maratac Pilot Automatic came out late in 2010 with a price just below $200 and is currently selling on their site for the same $299. Yes, they just bumped their price on the Mid Pilot sometime this summer from $279 to $299, but I'll take the savings on this drop and enjoy this watch.
wlcxThey did have the Mid Pilot 2012 for $209 around Labor Day I believe. Before this drop the price was $279 and then after the drop they bumped it back to $299 to match the listed MSRP on this drop.
I check their site pretty regularly in hopes they will release a 42mm Pilot.
jfortI got in on the recent $209 sale from CountyComm, and I've gotta say that I love this watch. It's the perfect size and style (I like this old face over the new face) at an undervalued price. Non-hacking is kind of a bummer, and while I didn't like the tiny seconds hand at first, it's grown on me. Probably the last watch I'll ever buy, assuming it holds up over time (no pun intended).
jfortFor international customers this is an easy way to get a Maratac watch. CountyComm do not ship internationally. You've got to use a mail forwarding service which seems a bit inconvenient. Also, shipping cost to Europe is actually quite reasonable for this drop. That said, I'd gladly take more discount.
