Any input about this model from more knowledgeable knife people? I like the look of it and don't really plan on getting a whole ton of knives so would like to get one good one.

m0roHere's a review on the bladeforums:

Here's a video review of a 389 model, which is a same knife just without the metal bolsters on the handle (having sharpened S35VN myself, I disagree with the author):

My opinion:
This is a gentleman's folder, so if you wear a suit jacket every day, that's the knife for you. The use of traditional materials for the handle and an emphasis on the way the knife looks seems to be the theme of the companies like Maserin and Mcusta.
This knife uses S35VN which is a premium steel that's easy to sharpen and has good edge retention.
The only other gentleman's knife with the same steel and within the same price range is a Cold Steel's Lucky One which is more of a modern take on the genre.
Personally, the gentleman's knife category doesn't interest me. I've never had a desire to get a Maserin or Mcusta knife. I prefer ergonomic design and high performance steels (my primary EDCs are ZT0562 and a Spyderco Delica 4 in ZDP-189 steel). My choice in this price range would either be a Spyderco Delica 4 or a Spyderco Native 5 Lightweight. If I was hard pressed to get a gentleman's knife I would choose something inexpensive like a Victorinox with Alox scales or a Case Sodbuster Jr.
