I received the 2 boxwood models I ordered within the time specified. The knives themselves are a very nice size and design, and feel good in the hand. The wood scales and mix-n-match slips I received are less than stellar.
The boxwood scales are the look of just an ordinary fine grain, nothing special, blonde hardwood. They are fine sanded, with hard edges, and have no sealing finish whatsoever. If used in the "gourmet" moniker setting, staining is a concern with these. One scale has a knot right at the edge of the spine, with cracks and voids.

Regarding the slips I rec'd, one is as pictured, with the pebble grain texture and contrast stitching, while the other is a black smooth top grain real leather with matched stitching. The slips fit and protect well, for pocket carry.
