Heavy duty: That’s the only way to describe this line of tactical knives by Maserin. Featuring contoured G10 handles with the gritty texture of asphalt, each of the three knives comes with a notably thick N690 blade coated with black Idroglider. A cobalt-enriched, high-chromium-content steel hailing from Austria, N690 offers many of the same properties as VG10: supreme hardness, ease of sharpening, and edge-holding ability, to name a few.
Note: At checkout, choose from the Combat Ready 666T, Revolt 669 (+ $17) or Sturm 668 (+ $48). This drop is limited to 75 units.
The Combat Ready 666/T—the lightest of the bunch at 5 ounces—features a partially serrated blade, making it suitable not just for slicing but also rope- and wire-cutting. At the base of the handle is a glass breaker, while the top of the handle features jimping that extends to the spine of the blade. A removable pocket clip is positioned for tip-up carry on either side, and the blade is deployed via dual thumb studs.
The biggest and baddest of the bunch is the Revolt 669. Weighing in at a hulking 8.7 ounces, this 9.2-inch folder features a hilt and a sizable finger choil. The pocket clip, positioned for tip-down carry, can be attached and detached for right- and left-handed users. Fitted with a glass breaker, the base of the handle also comes with a lanyard hole for alternative carrying options. For deployment, the Revolt 669 is equipped with a flipper.
In addition to a double-sided blade, the multipurpose Sturm 668 comes with three removable tools. A can opener, saw, and screwdriver can be quickly attached, one at a time, to the bottom of the handle, while the spine of the blade offers a serrated portion for rope- and wire-cutting. A flipper ensures quick deployment of the blade. Also included with the Sturm 668 is a nylon sheath.
