got HEM2. Dropped $3000 camera lens, Canon TS-E 17mm, and busted it today,;and it would have been good to receive higher tier IEM. It sounds good, though. Better then Final Audio Design Heaven 4 I got from another grab bag MD did. At least I have Audeze LCD2 to look forward to that is on the way selling for $700 on Adorama right now.

andypak01I auditioned the LCD2's a couple of weeks ago, they are amazing. May not make up for the 3k lens, but they will definitely put a smile on your face.

skidmataOk my impressions on the HEM6 I received: they have a darkish sound signature (as in solid bass emphasis, with clear but less emphasized mids and treble). That actually makes these easy and relaxing to listen to, even if I like a little more presence in those upper regions. For example, I'd say the X00 are only warm in tone because despite their strong bass their mids/treble have more energy than the HEM6. I really like the HEM6 bass though: deep, clean and impactful. They also have very nice soundstage depth, imaging and resolution. Comfort, isolation and the braided cable are great (which all the HEMs should succeed at). I'm happy to have got these. Of course, IMO, etc.
EDIT: These truly sound great and I've concluded that the HEM6 are uniquely capable IEMs. I'm not happy I got these I'm absolutely ecstatic that I was lucky to.
*Woops, didn't mean to reply to you skidmata. :)
