I feel very fortunate to have received the .5% additional prize of the Manix 2 XL black blade G10, but did not receive a Manix 2, which is what I really needed. Seeing that others who received the additional prize still received a standard Manix 2, I'm wondering "What the heck, Massdrop?" I read the listing as being guaranteed to receive some version of Manix 2 with the potential of receiving an additional prize. Help me out here.

BubalouieI am wondering this as well. I lucked out and got the black XL, which is great and i am not at all complaining, but reading through the comments and the original text on the drop, i get the impression that upgrades like the black XL were *in addition to* the normal Manix 2? I'm happy with the XL by itself, but hey, if there shoulda been another knife...

misterscottMD made me decide if I wanted to keep the XL or return it for the regular Manix, which I assume is the base knife, not upgraded. They said they made a mistake when they shipped knives. Apparently that means I don't get the knife I was actually trying to get unless I give up a knife I'm excited to have for the price I paid. The problem with returning the XL is that I would have paid full price for the base level knife, and get screwed out of an upgrade. At this point, I have since paid for a blue Manix outside of MD and have an XL that I will keep because I got a screaming "deal" on it.
Definitely not at all happy with how MD handled their mistake.
