- Has electronic clicky switch - Nichia is higher CRI and lower lumen output - Brass is not better or worse per se
The Nichia 219 Led has a higher CRI (color rendering index). In other words, it mimics natural light more closely when it comes to revealing the true colors of an object. The cost being the loss of some lumen output. I have this light in both the XPG and the Nichia and the XPG isn't bad (referring to the tint). It is not super cool/blue hued but is on the cooler/neutral side. The Nichia tint is very nice. Some people don't care about tint, some care an exorbitant amount, I am in the middle. (Pass on the opportunity for a terrible pun) I personally like the the electronic clicky tail switch over their traditional clicky because the light is shorter and it allows for tail standing/candlelight use. This light will be my fourth Lumintop Tool. I have it in anodized aluminum, titanium, copper, and soon brass. Of those the titanium has been my favorite mainly due to the electronic tail switch that this light has. The picture below comparing the two lights with different LED's is not mine.
