Can someone tell me how I reach the people who made this device. I am VERY unhappy with mine and frankly may need to see what needs to be done about this item.
As far as it appears they very carefully made sure that the fact that the clip is NOT attached to a FULL CIRCLE of metal and thus can be pulled right off was NEVER shown in a single image. I checked and rechecked once I saw this when I received it.
In addition, the "keyring" hole is such only in the imagination of those who have never tried to put a ring into a teensy hole like the one provided, as has been noted on here. (And if they want to say it's not intended for such, that people were intending to use this was ALL OVER the discussion section before they made it and they could EASILY have said it wasn't intended to be usable as a keyring device. They did not.
I am a woman and placing the light on a keyring to wear on a retractable lanyard on my backpack for instant deployment was the ENTIRE reason for the purchase and their apparent incompetence in the hole, and artful photography at worst or unintentionally misleading images at best, appear to have produced an item that was not as it was represented.
I am VERY disappointed as I was really looking forward to this.
So again: how do I contact the people who did this drop. Can't seem to find that information on the site.

allisondblHow big of a keyring hole did you expect on a AAA sized flashlight? :-/ And the clip requires a decent amount of force to pull it off.

ChewbaccaChewbacca - thanks for telling me about the pull force as I have chosen not to unplastic mine.
Regardless of its being tight, since it was intended to hang outside my backpacks on a lanyard and be subject to pulls and jerks that have pulled keyrings apart before, had they shown it was open I wouldn't have joined. And as to how big? How about BIG ENOUGH FOR A KEYRING? And note that they shipped the testers WITH KEYRINGS. So I had every reason to assume they were making a hole big enough that, based on physics, a ring large and strong enough to hold the item was intended to be used. Do you disagree with my analysis?

allisondblI actually bought this flashlight to go on my wife's keychain. The patina should turn out nicely.
However, I'm also very disappointed with the key ring hole size. I contacted Massdrop and their reply was less than helpful. Basically, they don't have anything for the key ring hole, and they don't know what size it is. But I could come here to the discussion for help. Thanks a lot, Massdrop.
I sent an email to Lumintop, the manufacturer, to determine a solution for the key ring hole. I know they picture their Tool Ti, which matches this light in form, with a split ring, chain and clip attachment. When I hear from them, I'll post here.

Tom_WTom_W - Thanks for your reply and insights here. And YES! Please: when you've spoken with Lumintop definitely PLEASE post back. It is a beautiful, heavy piece perhaps a skosh larger than I thought it would be, but that may add to its beauty and to its utility and feel in the hand. But, as with so many things, unless it is utile for its intended purpose, its beauty just makes it MORE annoying! And any insights from your wife would also be muchly appreciated. Alley

easy way to do it, with this (example: https://www.amazon.com/Phone-Strap-Black-Silver-Split/dp/B000SMXLYC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1491775579&sr=8-1&keywords=strap+string), thread the hole with a needle and cloth string tie to the end of strap, make a loop with the strap and done you can attach it to keyring

TiansTians: IMHO ugly but BRILLIANTLY utile. Thank you!
In the interests of full disclosure and for benefit of the Community, I must say - with apologies to all that - again thanks to the dropper's bad photos (Please image ALL important parts of the device guys!) - I did NOT realize there was a built-in hole for a lanyard/keyring ON THE TOP and NOT just the hole(s) in the clip. I didn't want to de-plastic the device in case I needed to return it.
The cutout is still too small and I'd prefer to be able to emplace a METAL keyring. If you're paying this price for a beautiful device I'd think that obvious, but Tians' solution and suggestion for threading is intelligent and if I think it will hold up I'll use it.
Regardless, I congratulate Tians on the solution. Sharp thinking! Thanks. Alley

TiansI have some 10mm Ti rings I bought off eBay. They fit no problem in my Ti version and expect the same when my brass lights arrive.

TiansYes Tians: I am thinking about buying one of a couple of packets of multi-diameter split rings I have found and using the thickest/strongest that will work to attach to a key ring and adding that to the lanyard I have or attaching a second pullable lanyard to accomplish what I want.
Again so others know, a problem with the cellphone leash you linked - again thank you - is that while what the seller shows might not be too bad, according to several purchasers: (a) what you receive is NOT what they show - one buyer included pictures that look WAY too sh*tty to trust this to and the rings are NOT split style rings but circles that are weak and dangerous as it's too easy to lose the device; and (b) there are numerous complaints that the ring used is just too weak to hold up to use. So before anyone buys the leash caveat emptor!!!!

ZmanzZmanz - Thank you so much for this Ti ring information. These look like just what I need and finding one in brass is, of course, perfect. I'm following up on this now. Hopefully they're strong enough and hopefully the 10mm will fit.
Seriously: THANK YOU. Such a wonderful helpful community we have here! ;) Alley

allisondblHey @allisondbl,
Glad to hear you were able to figure out a solution for attaching a keyring to the light. I have flagged your comments to the Custom Products team to review for products going forward.
Thanks to everyone in this discussion for their ideas.

LukasMHey LukasM: glad for the chime in and as to "able to figure out a solution" ... well we'll find out IF these are a solution as the problems will be if: A) 10mm is THIN enough to go through the teeny hole available; and then B) if so slender a ring is THICK and STRONG enough to accomplish the task of holding on to the device and keeping it safe. I will be REALLY peeved off if I have to use a ring so thin it breaks and I lose a piece this (relatively) expensive. Alley

ZmanzZmanz - Gorgeous looking but again: any idea of the SIZE of the ring? Is there more than one/only one diameter of metal based on the size of the ring? In other words, if this is a, say, 10mm ring (or is it an 8 or a 12 or ...) is the diameter of the METAL of the ring ALWAYS the SAME in any ring denominated as that size? Any help really appreciated here. THAT brass-coloured ring looks PERFECT! Alley

allisondblJust search 10mm Ti rings on eBay. I know that the Ti rings seem thick compared to the steel I have had(10mm). And they are strong. Sorry I can't help you out more. I think this would suit your needs but I can't tell you the size of wire. I Know they are sold as 10mm diameter. It isn't brass colored it's raw Ti but you can heat colour To.. ... first colour that will show on theses is bronze.
