Is 1/4" the same as 3.5mm?

In the amp description the output has 1/4 in(3.5mm) Spec. Based on the replies, I am now confused.

3.5mm is the smaller 1/8 of an inch walkman/iphone6s type (and all models prior to the iPhone 7) audio connector.

1/4 of an inch is the larger 6.3mm classic headphone audio connector that your '70s and '80s receiver had already
