Dear Community, I am a complete newb and I have no clue, especially no previous history with mechanical keyboards. I am looking for my first mechanical keyboard and I really like what I could see and understand about this keyboard... I like the material, the look, the possibilities coming with the programming capabilities... but I have no idea about how to actually do any programming for this keyboard. I don't even know what should I pick for the order, if I submit an order for this beauty. Is there anyone here who would be up for providing a little bit of education to me? I am not hopeless if its about IT, although I am not a sysadmin or codewarrior either. I used to do hardware and software testing for Apple, I used to do ISP helpdesk support... so I am kinda a heavy user if something like that exists. I would like to learn before I invest, to make sure I am making a good decision. Anyone who can adopt a newbie? :) My Reddit username is "Aylarth", if someone would take me under his wings.

RiValTineYou don't have to program anything. If you get the non-barebones version then it's just a normal keyboard, you plug it in and use it. There is software that goes along with this keyboard to control the RGB, that's about all the "programming" you need to do. If you get the barebones version then it doesn't come with switches or keycaps and you'll need to buy your own. The switch sockets on this PCB are hot swapable so you don't need to do any soldering if you do decide to get your own switches, you'll just have to pop them in and you're good to go. If you're new to mechanical keyboards then you'll probably want to look up the differences between the different types of switches so you know what you're getting into and so you can get something you think you want.
