Hmmmm. Price went up by $39 from the last 20 degree quilt offered. Looks like a good quilt, but not nearly the bargain it was the last time....

Kjf27My thoughts EXACTLY. I was really excited to see this brought back but for the difference between the increased price, the 850p offered by Enlightened directly (vs this 800) and the fact that it's 15d instead of the 10d direct from EE. I'll most likely just get mine direct from the manufacturer. BUMMER

Kjf27Good question on pricing, so let me lay out some facts. Last time this was $180 for the 20 F with 750 untreated down. Upgrade to the 800 DownTek down was $25. Shipping was an additional $8 at least. so total then was $213 shipped, at minimum. This drop is $219 shipped for that same model, so we did increase the cost but only enough to cover the cost of shipping (and the overall cost of down fill has increased slightly on the marketplace).
For a fair comparison, make sure you check for the shipped price of an comparable quilt. EE used to offer free shipping fo quilts and now they don't. Hammock Hear offers an affordable 40F quilt, but make sure you compare price against a long and wide version, shipped. Again you will find those quilts are $50+ more expensive and save you less than an ounce by moving up to the 850 fill.
Consider one more thing: timing. you will get your quilt before Memorial Day. The previous drops were in April with an August delivery, and October with a November delivery.
Finally, we aren't offering the 750 full because 80% of members opted for the 800 fill last time, the cost of raw 750 fill down increasesd so that it would only save a few dollars to offer that option this time. And, I heard a lot more people asking for a lighter quilt for warmer weather.
I appreciate the feedback and the questions are valid. But as you can see, we are not making any more money on these quilts than last time. I think the confusion lies in our offering different temp ratings and upgrades for down options, plus shipping costs. Thank you for your understanding. @Kjf27 @Antnee

DannyMilksThanks for the well thought out reply Danny.
Still, for me, for the extra $51 ($64 with shipping) more I'd rather the zipped foot end option, the 10d fabric and the 850 down. I don't think anyone thinks you guys are making more money, maybe EE is, but it's still not enough for me to bite.
