I liked the MD quilt but not the sewn footbox. I almost joined the drop but didn't because of footbox and the width. I did buy an EE Revelation in a long/wide version. EE makes great quilts. The stitching is superb and the Revelation has the zipper/drawcord to convert the quilt from flat to a foot box in seconds.

FozzyDudeFozzyDude I see that you bought the Revelation in a long/wide version. What might be you height, girth, and weight, if you don't mind me asking. The MD quilt has potential, but I like the greater number of options that the EE Rev allows. I would also think another part of the equation to factor in would be the "pad/mat". I have an Exped DownMat TT LW that is 77.6" long x 25.6" wide x 3.5" thick and I'm 6' and a lean 160 pounds. I was thinking the Rev long/wide version might be the right fit for me and my mat?

FozzyDudeIt has a sewn footbox but the end is open with a bungee tighten/loosen. It's made by EE so the quality is great I have their underquilt and both are excellent.

EuroAmerShoot, sorry, I just noticed this. I'm 6 feet tall 190lbs, I have never actually measured the girth but I wear a 42 long suit jacket. I like having a little room to flip around in my sleeping bag and in my quilt. I typically buy large jackets, large shirts but they don't fit me tightly. In other words I have room for layering. You being 6' 160 you could probably get the long regular. EE warns against using the quilt "under" the mat as in putting the pad straps under the mat so the quilt is pulled under the mat also. Reason is because they use 10D for the material and that really isn't good for resisting abrasion.

MiLongbowYes true I understood that, but I like the option of opening it all the way like a blanket sometimes.
