Hi @DannyMilks, Just have 2 questions as illustrated in the image attached:
1. How is the strap attached to the quilt here? From a distance it looks sewn in but the excess strap suggests that it may be a tri glide attachment for tightening?
2. What is this excess strap?
Thanks in advance!

HubeyDoobyDoo@HubeyDoobyDoo - Thanks for the questions.
1. The strap is sewn on one side, and attached with a small flat buckle on the other side. We're looking to make the strap completely removable by the time we actually start making these for the community.
2. The "excess strap" is not an additional strap but actually excess from the sleeping pad straps, as they are snug around the pad but without a person to take up additional space (and therefore necessitate the extra strap length). Make sense?

DannyMilksThanks for the quick reply @DannyMilks!
re: Question 1. Removable straps would be a great addition! If that happens it negates my questions. :-P
re: Question 2. My understanding of your explanation is that the strap is tighter for illustration purposes here without a body inside, and then one would loosen the straps to accommodate a body. Is that correct? My confusion is how does one loosen a strap that is sewn permanently?

HubeyDoobyDoo1. Great! Will keep you updated. 2. You are correct in your understanding. You loosen the strap on the side with the buckle. The other side does not change.

DannyMilksThanks @DannyMilks ! P.S. Considering the manufacturing is many weeks off, any chance for a footbox zipper for additional cost? Would make a world of difference.

HubeyDoobyDooI second this, is there a chance to add a zipper like the EE Revolution, even if it was an additional cost I'd join the drop and pay the extra...

Chris_GI'd be ok with almost any system that allows the sewn section to open and close (omnitape, snaps, ties. zippers, etc.)

BrCoThe zipper we're referring to isn't to open and close the footbox from the bottom end, it's to replace the sewn section so that the quilt can open up and become a blanket for warmer weather and other blanket uses. As illustrated in the photo below. This factor alone makes me hold off from this drop.

HubeyDoobyDooI agree and meant simply (but I guess described poorly) that I didn't care what the technique used was so long as it could be opened flat. I edited my original post in attempt to clarify.

BrCoAhh I see! Much clearer now. Great minds and changing circumstances appreciate opening flat quilts. Correction; anyone can appreciate that versatility! @DannyMilks I am certain with your charm, influence and charisma you can make this happen. ;)

HubeyDoobyDoo@HubeyDoobyDoo - perhaps you have overestimated me. Or perhaps you think with your charm, influence and charisma, YOU can make this happen.

DannyMilksLook in the mirror, and tell me what you see.
You may just see @DannyMilks
Well, let me tell you what I see:
I see pride. I see power. I see a bad-ass mother who don't take no crap off of nobody!
- Cool Runnings foreplay aside, a zipper would be dope. Probs get you closer to that 200 units goal.
