Never tried Planar Magnetics...would a Little Dot Mk II be capable of driving these?

CogsworthPlanar and OTL amps don't mix well. Planar headphones require lots of current, which OTL amps like your Little Dot don't have. You're going to need to go solid state if you want a good experience with them.

fidgetingfinchOr an output transformer coupled tube amp. Try the Musical Paradise MP301 for instance. I use it with my Blackwood (modded t50 by ZMF) and it's a REALLY good match imho.

fidgetingfinchThe little dot isn't an OTL, it powers planars reeeeaaaallly well with the low output impedance + high current that these drivers crave.

Cogsworth I am using little dot mark II with Voskhod tubes (power and drivers) for Alpha Dogs (heavily moded TR50X MkIIs), and I do have to turn the gain and volume fairly high, but the sound is nice, and powerful enough. Altogether it may be a decent amp for these on the cheap...
