This will be my first foray into high end headphones. I am wondering if these are OK for on the go?
I've been doing some research and was thinking about getting one of those hi-res music sony walkman. Will these work/drive ok?
Also, IEMS for outside are kinda not possible as I have hearing aids and would have to take them off. Over the ear is pretty much the only choice as On the Ear HPS hurt too much for me.
Thanks!

Relaxedthese headphones do have a higher impedance than most, so you will very likely need an amp to drive them. You usually don't want high impedance headphones for on the go because you won't get good volume just plugging it into your phone. I'm not familiar with the sony walkmans so I can't say if their amp would be powerful enough to drive these.

RelaxedNo DDTRR is just being persnickety.
These headphones could work on the go since they do isolate fairly well, and if you had a decent portable digital audio player with a DAC/Amp, or a DAC/Amp that you could tether to your phone. There are many options out there depending on your budget. Look at Fiio products. Great value to performance. I personally own a Fiio X3 Gen 2 and it drives these cans easily. I also own an Oppo HA-2SE portable DAC/Amp that I occasionally use on the go, but this can be a bit bulky in your pocket along with your phone. Centrance also makes a nice portable DAC Amp that is around $100 that is quite nice for the price that would work well.

GenwaldTheir impedance is actually quite low: 50 ohm. Compared to, for instance, Sennheisers with 300 ohm. Having said that, they are on the low end for sensitivity so the need a lot of current to get the drivers under control.
