ld100Me too! I thought these were going to go as fast as the HD6XX since there were roughly a third as many units but were a less popular headphone. I guess lack of reviews and data have scared people off. I can almost promise that if Z-Reviews had put out a favorable review before the drop these would have gone WAY faster.

PolygonBronsonI like to think most people don't buy into Zeos hype anymore...but sadly you're probably right.

ColgateamThey do. He is entertaining. But you have to take his opinion with a grain of salt. Often he is just so wrong...

ld100Sadly I learned this 2 headphones later. Then I realize Zeos over exaggerate things a lot.
So these days I just do my own research. :P

HydeBefore making a decision, I also read the threads in head-fi, reddit etc., after viewing those popular review videos in the internet

ld100I was in around #150 and dropped when it reached 1880. I decided I did not like the look of the sub bass roll off and I got a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-A990Z for $98 off Amazon.

HydeI agree. Zeos is very entertaining but he is only informative when he discusses earpads and cables. After that, he is not to be taken very seriously. When doing serious research there are more knowledgeable and more credible sources.

sailcatlol I find even earpads he's a bit questionable. When I was modding T50RP I find earpads changes the sound the most, so it's not something that you can slap something on and call it a day. I went through 4-5 pads and while the current one is not bad but I still don't find it perfect.
As for Denon AH-D2000 anything that I threw on pretty much negatively impact the sound, the original earpad still sounds the best.
At this point I'd advise against changing the earpad 95% of the time because it will mostly negatively impact the sound and any distance from the ear to the driver makes it sound more V-shaped. So unless you can find a 3rd party ear pad that retain the same shape and distance I'd not recommend messing around with it.
Source: After modding T50RP MK3 and Denon AH-D2000 for over a year trying to get the perfect sound.
