After spending a little more time with the T-X0 here are some thoughts.
*Update: recently got the Massdrop HiFiMan HE-4XX are they are far better headphone for a little more money. I'd recommend skipping these and getting those for just a little more.
1. Still believe it's better than the stock T50RP MK2/MK3 and are ok for the price, but not really special. They also have potential to be made even better.
2. Like all T50RP these require a decent amount of power to drive properly. No surprise there.
3. The black bars vs the standard color one is more slippery/loose than stock causing it to fit more loose. Might be the coating on the black "guides"(not sure what to call them). This is a bit on a nuisance.
4. The bass is a bit light for me. This was somewhat fixed Fixed it by swapping the stock pads with some Dekoni Sheepskin pads I had laying around. There is now a more bass and punch, and it much better for my taste. I do like my bass more elevated then strictly neutral so might be useful for some and less for others. For me Sheepsking pads make the T-X0 more pleasing and more to my liking.
Also I like the HM5 Sheepskin pads I have on my MK3s better as they have a larger ear hole making them more comfortable, they are also cheaper.
5. Still need to get another V-Moda audio cable for the T-X0 (like I have for my other T50RPs) as it is far superior to the stock cable. It's a little longer than what I really need, but otherwise it's perfect for the T-X0/T50RP with it's good build quality and angles 3.5mm plug.
6. The T-X0 are an ok headphone for the price point and perhaps can be modded to be even better. In my case I did want more bass, that was provided by the Sheepskin pads (so I'm satisfied, mostly). They however are not exceptional headphone that you should compare to far more expensive headphones as some seem to be doing. Some of my other more expensive headphone outperform these, and that is as expected. Still some of them can become fatiguing after extended use (standard T50RP MK3 get fatiguing very fast for me), these generally non-fatiguing.
7. If you on a budget and want something good out of the box or just a pad change (like I did) these are a decent option. If you want something that performs like a $400+ headphone, get a $400+ headphone.
I've never modded MK2s, but have two self modded MK3s, so the Pad swap is likely all I'll do. If anyone has modded these beyond that I'd love to know what you've done, if you have pictures even better.

RojasTKDI think you really need to spend around 1k to get to the next level, anything less and it's just different flavours, and I'd take these over plenty of $400 dynamic headphones any-day, planars just have a musicality and coherence that dynamic drivers just can't match.

murrsWell, I'm a planar fan (have 6), but the T-X50 isn't that special in the world of planars (except for price), and there are a some non-planar headphones I'd consider over the T-X0, should have a Fostex TH-X00 Ebony arriving next week.
And there are plenty of sub 1k headphone I'd take over the T-X0, my HE-500 for example. LCD-2s or Focal Elear, Oppo PM3 also comes to mind.
The T-X0 is okfor the money (after pad change for me), but it's still am entry level planar, and not at the level of $300ish to $1000 headphones. I Definitely don't think you have to spend 1K to find something better.
I do hope to someday have a Focal Clear, HiFiman HE-1000, Edition X or an LCD-3 (hopefully at least two of those to really go next level).

RojasTKDI swapped out my pads with the brainwaves angled PU leather seem to increase the bass also and they fit better too.

JoeIkeI used the angled pleather pads on my other T50RP and is did add some bass but the increased distance between the driver and the ear made the vocals (mids) sound more distant. I prefer the flat sheepskin on my T50RP and it also seems to add even more bass (I like bass, 😊).
Assume I'd feel the same regarding the T-X0
