Hello guys, I made a lengthy dac/amp pairing question (FiiO E10K, Schiit Fulla 1, NuForce UDAC3, SMSL M3 and iFi Nano iDSD Black Label) on the TR-X00 Mahogany thread. But I figure it's applicable here too so I'll link the thread here in case anyone has the answer to it.

HydeThat is a really long thread haha. OK, do what I've done and get a Creative E5. Reason being is it's compatible with Windows, MAC and Android as a DAC and it comes with it's own EQ. At this level of audio, this is ultra useful, because you can bring the best out of every headphone you have. If you only have one headphone, you can have one or two profiles or maybe just one if you're not fussy and no matter where you go, it'll always keep that profile. It's also got two headphone outs, plenty of power (OK, more than most of the entry level "amps"), almost every connection type you can think of and portability. Unfortunately, if you use it as a desktop amp, the battery will eventually die, but I counter this by having a portable battery everywhere I go anyway. It has been the cornerstone of my audio journey and the only reason I'm moving to the iDSD Micro Black Label one day is because some of these headphones out there are seriously hard to drive. Also, whilst the two outputs for shared listening is nice, having 2 high impedance headphones will quickly send the amp into distortion - again, not an issue for entry level gear.
