Just received it today and the sound quality is really awful. It's worse than the $20 webcam mic I was using before it. There's a constant buzzing in the back and voice sounds super compressed; friends describe it as "earrape". Can't say I'm not utterly disappointed about my first drop.

SparkWaveSame for me, it's because of the electronics in the room, which make the mic pretty much unusable. I already contacted the support.

canseyranI don't doubt your experience, but I can't see how electronics in the room could be the cause. Do you think you have substantially more electronics than your typical massdrop mic buying nerd? I have amps, TVs, computers, consoles, NAS, router, and much more. A properly made/connected mic shouldn't fail in that environment. Sounds like it happens for some users but not others.

gnarciaIt's defintely electronics, i plugged out every device while live listening to the level of the microphone. Every device I plugged off, reduced the buzzing. After I plugged out everything there was absolutely no bussing and the sound was crystal clear( I am using a laptop if you're thinking how that's possible). Well I would say I have more than average devices. But even if I leave only 2 connected, there is still a lot of buzzing, only after I plugged out everything the sound is perfect. Is it maybe because it is different in EU? Idk I've no Idea, what I know is, the mic performs really great when it "works", but it doesn't certainly do in my case. Also if I come very near to electronics with the microphone the buzzing is also gone ( monitor, keyboard, mouse, laptop, tv, ps4.....)

canseyranInteresting, perhaps the cable it too long and improperly shielded. Causing it to pic up a ton of EMF noise from the room.

SparkWaveI tried a few cables too, makes no difference, the mic is picking up the electronics

i3nuThe reason why it's gone when you touch it, is grounding from your body
