O2 arrived today :) It's way better than I had expected especially at this price. Running Tidal (and listening to the fabulous vocals of Phoebe Bridgers) out of MacBook Pro into Aune X1S DAC bypassing its audio amp which is very good on its own to the O2. Easily driving my Audeze LCD-X and even my very hard to drive modified Fostex T50RP Model III without adding gain. Compared to the Aune amp, the O2 is very similar (a good thing). There is a difference and I would say the O2 sounds livelier. Time will tell as I don't believe in burning in equipment (electrons don't care) but more time with Bob Marley and the Wailers seems warranted :) If you want to upgrade your audio out of your computer get an external DAC (I tried my super cheap Fiio Olympus 2 and it worked fine driving the O2 although the O2 was happier with the gain switched in) add the O2 and plug in any decent headphones. I tried my Shure 535 IEM and the O2 was a very good match as were a set of $36 (US) T-Peos D-202N....and yes there's a noticeable difference but the O2 brought out the best in these very inexpensive in-ears. Highly recommended.

PeterWestHi, may I know the AC input can charge up the internal battery? I have the first generation, there are 9V x 2 battery inside, not so sure the battery compartment is still there? In addition, whether the Opamp (U1) is changeable with an 8 pin IC socket solder inside? Thanks.

mig33Sorry can't help you as I have no idea. Don't think the current version has a battery.

mig33The AC input charges the batteries yes. The current dekstop version has no batteries, as the RCA input and output get in the way so batteries won't fit.
And the op-amps are in sockets.
