Be warned, massdrop have cut corners on this amp, and because of this it does not conform to the original O2 spec.
To everyone buying this amp:
The O2 from massdrop is crap unless you get the correct power supply for it (15v from JDS Labs). The 12v is underpowered and will make the amp clip at higher volumes.
You may as well spend the extra bit of money and get one from JDS Labs, Mayflower Electronics or Head "n" Hifi (EU).
With all of the above you get the correct power supply.
Sip_FoThat would be fine :)
These are the specs you need:

What I don't understand is why by from Massdrop if you have to spend extra on the proper power supply. By the time you've bought that you won't have saved much over a proper one from JDS Labs, Mayflower of Head "n" hifi....
OstewartTbh I'm pissed I have to do it but even with the power supply it's still cheaper than buying one in Australia... Barely. Thanks for your help kind sir
OstewartIt's an unregulated power adapter so it probably usually gives just a tiny bit over 14V. In some cases though I may drop below. Someone made some measurement here. In any case, they should have bundled 15VAC adapter.
Sip_Foif you are running easy to drive headphones, then it shouldn't be as much of an issue. Try anything harder to drive and the amp will start clipping with an underpowered power supply.
Don't worry my O2 is home built from a kit from Head "n" Hifi and came with the correct power supply :)
