uloginThe pictured prototype unit has some replacement parts but the final unit will have everything as close to spec as we can get (aside from maybe the case, we're using an aluminum box with all the same specs, no reason to waste money on a "brand name" aluminum box).
If something happens with a particular part (supply disappears, shipping boats sink, w/e) we'll let participants know before the drop ends so they the option to opt out of the drop if they feel strongly about it.
As a side note, even with these replacement components, we had the prototype measured by the good folks at Grace Designs, here are some of the results:
Frequency response: -0.29dB @10Hz -0.07dB @20Hz (NwAvGuy measured -0.04db @20Hz) -0.01dB @20,000Hz -0.048dB @48000Hz (NwAvGuy measured -0.01db @48,000Hz)
Noise at low gain: -112.5dBV 20-22kHz bandwidth -115.1dBV A weighting (NwAvGuy measured -114.8 dBV A weighting)
