Mayflower themselves have said "It isn't built to spec, they broke the CCL (Creative Commons Licence) and re-engineered the circuit to produce it cheaper. It will sound worse than a genuine build. This isn't technically an O2, but a copy of one." I'm just saying this isn't the actual Mayflower o2

Anthony10Which isn't built to spec and has an altered PCB? The Mayflower or this one? Because it seems like this one is being done to the exact specs from what I can tell from what Will has said...

EniGmA1987This one, I'm no expert on audiophile things, but that quote is coming from Mayflower themselves

EniGmA1987If "what Will said" is in conflict with apparent reality, then why would you put so much trust in "what Will said"?
Let us not overestimate Massdrop, please! Massdrop is not infallible. They are not necessarily 100% trustworthy. And they certainly aren't authorities on audio engineering (even if one of their product managers has a background or education in the field, that doesn't mean that he's up-to-date or qualified to engineer an amplifier). The fact that they've been so absent in this discussion suggests to me that they've likely been taken off guard and are not yet sure what they'll do.
The waiting game continues!
