Arrived at the land down under, 220v desktop 1.1 std (high gain) edition, I am actually using a spare 16 VAC adaptor (donor: pro-ject headamp) as I cant find a convertor lying around. Well, long story short, mine works fine, signal source from pio'r BD player --opt--> dacmagic plus --rca--> O2 --trs ext'n--> headphone/s. As of headphone/s I have tried K7xx, DT880, 325e (with 1/4 adpt), PM-3 (monster cable), HD700, mdr-7506, ATH-w1000x. No hiss, no hum, just dead quiet (well, music aside of course).
//On a side note: at first there was this very faint humming sound which I suspect was coming from my bd player, except on closer inspection it was actually coming from the washroom fan, which my cousin had left switched on, humming away down the other side of the hallway. So I give him an earful, switched the fan off and all is fine again.
