jujubuJoining the question! This vs Red or Black, guys? If not taking into account the volume knob and ability to power 300+ ohm headphones.

LeopandaIf you take those things away, you are comparing a different product that may or may not exist. The Audioquest products are AIO USB solutions intended to be used directly in line with the headphones, powered entirely by the USB bus. This imposes a series of challenges this drop doesn't face: size contraints, very limited power to run both the internal circutry and drive the amp, the inability to use a true ground due to DC only voltage, and many others.
This product solves a different problem, if you need the portability of the dragonfly, this is really not an option. If you have a listening environment that can accommodate a larger interface, and need the added power ( potential sound quality differences aside ), the dragonfly wouldn't be a viable option either.
TL:DR: let your use case dictate your form factor, and compare within the products that fit your needs.

jujubuThis! I'm upgrading from an Audioquest Dragonfly myself (v1.2) and with this DAC/amp I'll be able to drive any headphone I want.
