kim.suarezI wonder if it would be possible to actually run Merino through a shuttle loom and make 100% Merino "Denim". Would love to see something made from that.
KadosThat's a great question for our Men's Style expert @john.webb !
kim.suarezKINDA - been done before. Italian Berto Mill's very impressive 'Blue Selvedge' collection made a 65 per cent Merino wool and 35 per cent cotton wool a few years back. The denim was hearty like denim on the outside and cozy like a wool blanket on the inside due to it's 100% wool weft (predominate white yarns on the inside of denim). It was loomed on the Mills' 1950's Belgian Picanol looms which are known to be temperamental and not currently running. 100% wool denim jeans would be difficult because it would bag out where stretched with no recovery, so better for a slack or outerwear than a 5 pocket work pant (jean).

john.webbWas thinking more upper body vs jeans. Hoodie or maybe a jacket. Even just having the 100% Merino weft would be interesting. Something to look into for future projects maybe?
KadosKados - The Berto Fabric makes a great Jacket. Doing a high pile loop wheel sweatshirt out of merino / cotton blend would be great! I have an open eye for that. You think there is enough community interest?

john.webbI think the uniqueness of it would definitely bring alot of interest. There is already alot of community interest in both individual fabrics. Take two things people like and combine them together in a unique and high quality way...
KadosAny other clothing recommends you &/or the community are hungry for?

john.webbMore an outdoors request than mens style, but Merino/Polypro thermals (tops and bottoms) would be nice. Polypro in my experience works so much better than polyester, especially in thermals. Unfortunately due to the cost cutting efforts of most companies, hardly anyone uses the stuff anymore. Helly Hansens "Warm Ice" line was the last use of it i know of, but they too recently discontinued it. With winter getting closer, it would be great to get a new source of it in an MD collab. Maybe hit up Ibex and see if they want to work with you on it, since they are currently restructuring. Could end up a popular new daily drop.
