Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Thank you all for your patience while we've been working with Sennheiser on the cable solution. We have received an update from Sennheiser, and the cables will leave the supplier and begin their journey to Sennheiser on April 28th. We are waiting to hear from Sennheiser on how quickly they will be able to receive the cables and ship them out to you.
We want to give everyone a final opportunity to update their shipping addresses. If you need to change the address that your cable will be shipped, please contact support from your transaction page no later than End of Day April 30th PST so that we can get your address updated.
Feel free to let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
Love your post, voting with your wallet at it's finest. That said, I'm not answering your question because I want you to buy a K7XX, it's because you're right about the miss information floating around and I don't support alternative facts :p.
Will there be more HD6XXs available? Yes, there will be more HD6XXs.
When will there be more HD6XXs? We're working on that with Sennheiser right now. The demand for these headphones is massive, and it's a lot harder to find the time for 25,000 units of production than 5,000 units of production. With over 54k requests, we're trying to plan with Sennheiser so the next drop isn't gone as fast as the first.
Will the HD6XX be the same price? That's what we're shooting for, but there is a possibility the price will have to increase. This is out of our control, all based on the prices Sennheiser gets from their suppliers.
Will the website be able to handle the next launch? Yes. Following the 6XX launch, our engineering team overhauled our transaction system. Where it previously could only handle ~20 transactions per second, it can now handle several hundred per second.
Let me know if there are any other topics floating around that need clarification. Have a great weekend!
4 Years * 5 = 20 years for the next batch! Come back on November 2036 to join the next drop! /s
When Massdrop time becomes Valve Time hah
"they come back, they always come back".
as Will said this is a very popular drop. they want to be able to satisfy the demand. which means they have to make several thousand. there is added logistics on a run such as this. im sure u have other cans. enjoy them a bit.
If you sign up for UPS My Choice you might be able to get a notification from them.
Please let me know the status of the cable. Thanks.
Cheers!
Wow, I'm so calling BS on this one.... I will be interested to see how well this drop sells compared to the last.
Well I'll find out on Monday. 6AM PT is 9 AM EST, probably not going to get in on them until I get home from work. They might be sold out by then anyway.
