Hello folks, I currently use 3 main headphones, bose qc 25 when on the go, sennheiser hd 280 (but don't really like them), hyperx cloud 1 (using them 5-10 hours a day, games movies music).
Is there a reason not to get the hd 6XX? Been eyeballing them since last drop ended.

maxim1They will be most similar to the HD 280 but more comfortable, lighter, and open. The closed sound you are used to will go away, but you will find this has a similar signature, as they say, to the 280/380.
The 6XX will kill everything you have for music and movies, for games it depends on what you are doing, just test them out and if you like it in games too you can put a mod mic on em. Everyone around you will hear them and you will hear them if the volume isn't too loud, you sacrifice privacy/isolation if you want quality.

maxim1One reason you might not want to get these is if sound leakage is a problem. Because the HD6XX are open back headphones, everyone around you will hear what you are listening to and you will also hear your noise from your surroundings at low volume levels. Also, these headphones (HD600, HD650, HD6XX) work best with a good headphone amplifier, which is another factor to consider. If you can get over that, these headphones are an awesome deal for $199.99 shipped.
