Plautus001The Jotenheim is not a tube amp, and if you were to get that save the money and get an Aune X7S. All of those other amps you picked are all good choices.

Plautus001HD6xx are already very warm. Are you sure you want to pair them with a tube amp which tend to be on the warm side themselves? I paired LD mk II with Mmr. Speaker planar headphones, and I like the sound. HD6xx were too warm for my liking with what is supposed to be a pretty neutral solid amp.

Having used balanced equipment before on stage, in the studio, and in car audio... I thought balanced might be better.
I do like my vali better than the magni 2 with my HD598, HE350, AKG240, and T50rp mk iii with mods... although magni 2 is better with the Grado, Sony MDR6V, Vmoda, Shures, Polks.
I really want to make the HD6XX shine... but if the solution has other benefits, that is great too.

For most of those tube amps listed, I don't think much will change from your current vali to justify an addition. You can just as easily tube roll. The Darkvoice would be the most drastic of the ones listed since its not a hybrid amp. The Jot would be the most different since it is solid state, but I'm unsure if its such a drastic enough change from the Magni. Certainly an upgrade though.

Considered the end game amp for these headphones. I built one and it's amazing.

I already have a magni 2, vali and modo 2 uber from schiit.
I also have nodded T50RP, Grados, and 8 other headphones.
I am looking at:
Darkvoice LITTLE Dot ii or iii Schiit Valhalla 2 Jotenheim Cavalli by Massdrop
The HD6xx are the most important headphones to have at their best for me... I listen to Rock, Jazz, Acoustic/folk, and some Classical
Update: I picked up an Asgard 1 used... I love it with my T50RP and HD598
I'm tempted by the Cavalli... more confused than ever....
