right now I drive this HD6XX with E17k or LG G6 (with quad dac). Can I get decent amp for USD 100-200 to add in my setup?

gorogitulohQuestion: How efficiently does your G6 drive the 6xx? I have the V20 and wanted to know for future reference...

chuckolatteUsing Tidal HiFi, I set the volume at 40, and this already loud enough for me.

gorogitulohVolume isn't everything, with your G6 it would be distorting at normal listening volumes.
If you want to get an amp now, look for something in the Schiit range. They've got a good entry range (Magni & Vali 2), but if you want to get more out of these phones, save a bit more for a Valhalla or Lake People G103-S.
You should be able to keep your G6 as your DAC, use a 3.5mm to RCA adapter to connect to the RCA inputs on your amp.
Btw, you've got mail :)

JackulaI know that G6 not ideal for hd6xx. But for now it sound okay for me. I dont plan to use extra amp on G6. I wanna pair it with e17k. Would it be worth it to buy magni 2, or should I save more money to buy better amp?

gorogitulohThing is with audio, you won't miss what you've never experienced, but after you've experienced it, you won't want to go back.
I can't tell you what amp to buy because it's up to what your want, I can only make suggestions at price points.
The cheaper amps will give you a glimpse of what they are capable of. The better amps will show you their potental. You could keep going up the list and the best thing about the HD6XX is they will keep scaling.

JackulaI definitely agree, but it's kinda fun to "climb to the top" of the audiophile mountain, rather than get a helicopter ride (skipping every other step). My plans atm are to get the Schiit Fulla 2 as my main dac amp for now. Later on, I'll get something like the Jotunheim or a stack or something else and keep the Fulla 2 as a good portable option.

chuckolatteGood idea, just a tip though. You might want to consider the Valhalla 2 or G103 instead of the Jot. Most people confuse the Jot as a balanced amp, it isn't. From the Schiit range, the Valhalla 2 would give a better supply of power than the Jot.
The Jot is for people who wants an all in one solution as you can easily add an integrated DAC for as little as $100. But if you've already got a DAC (I.e. The Fulla on fixed line out), it would make little sense to go Jot.

JackulaAlthough I generally agree with your opinion, I don't want to get a tube amp for a number of reasons: 1. You have to replace the bulbs. 2. I have the isine 10 and am planning on getting the m1060 in the distant future. If I'm not mistaken, you can't run planars on tubes, right?

chuckolatteYou are correct in this sir, the Valhalla would not be good for planars at all, but they great for high impedance cans like the HD6XX which is what I thought you wanted.
When it comes to tube amps, I've rarely had to replace tubes. I've got 4 tube amps / preamps and I've only had to replace a power tube once due to an accidental misuse on my part.
Two years ago I was taking to a local tube amp store, they told me they only replace about 1.5 tubes a year due to faults.
But yeah, if you want to drive planars, the Jot will be much better than a Valhalla :)

JackulaNaisu! Yeah, I plan on getting the 6xx/600 too lol. I'm SLOWLY building a collection. But because of the wide variety of headphones that will be in my arsenal, I want my first high-end dac/amp combo to be a "do-all" solution. Maybe later on I'll consider getting the Valhalla 2 (I really like the way it looks lol).

chuckolatteHigh-end must have tubes IMO, or maybe just because I'm a tube fan :) If you look into very high-end amps, Woo, Eddie Current, Fostex, Audeze etc are all tube amps. That's not to say you're stuffed, some tube amps are transformer coupled (OTC amps), what this does is there is a transformer sitting behind the headphone output that transforms the excessive voltages of tube amps into current, allowing it to drive all - including demanding low impedance cans like planars. Anyways, all the best to you on your audiophile journey! :)
