Everyone, my headphone is coming most likely next week. I need a quick suggestion on an amp, objective o2 or magni 3? I am going to run it on a 2017 macbook pro (has a really good dac so I don't need a dac, I am just a casual listener, and I am in a tight budget atm to law school). I live in Canada and o2 amp is currently on sale at ncix canada at 124 dollars instead of 169 (currency conversion yeah). THe other option is to buy magni 3 from schitt directly from the US. Its only 100 bucks but with duties, conversion rate, shipping, and tax, it might ended up costing me 150-200. The ncix o2 sale will end tomorrow I think, so if anyone can hit me with the better option and why, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

RaikozyMagni 3. More powerful, do your research and see how much it comes too. If your willing to spend more money the best cheap amp you can get is the aune x7s on massdrop. You can't run a balanced dac but get the benefit of class A and a lot more power than a magni 3.

Z0d1Acthe magni 3 outputs something like 430 mW at 300 ohms while the x7s only outputs 250mW at 300RZ. I am not really sure what RZ is in terms of resistance, but if it is anything close, then the magni 3 really has it beat in terms of power.

kxrider85RZ is ohm. But the X7S will do 1W at 300ohm if you use the XLR

Z0d1AcOh Man, I have been contemplating whether I should get an amp or not. This morning I woke up and impulsely bought the magni 3...$99+25 bucks shipping + conversion rate + bank lower rate = $163...I feel like getting ripped off from this extra fee. Hopefully its worth it.
