I cannot believe my bad luck.
I Ring video camera shows USPS dropping off the package - it's these headphones. 2 minutes later it gets stolen off of my doorstep.
Dammit!

lingerThat's awful. Weird that after picking up the package he took the time to turn the car and drive in another direction. May be that's where USPS was going or maybe his house is in that direction.

trybeingarunThat was the direction the usps truck was heading. They were following the usps truck. The driver kept tabs on the usps truck and the passenger ran out to gather the packages. I have the usps driver on video too. Their car shows up 30 sec after the delivery guy leaves.

lingerDamn that is awful, hope they end up getting caught. Was he hiding his face prior to getting the door? Not sure how noticeable the I Ring Video Camera is but if it's not easily noticed then they must have been in the area before to have hid their face that early on. Definitely motivating me to add a more discrete camera in addition to the ones i already have watching the front of my home.

The last possibility is that he just saw the USPS left a big package to your door and steal it immediately. Hope police will find this rat.

AbhiramCMassdrop Customer Service is really going above and beyond. While I would really prefer a set of headphones, Massdrop is offering a full refund even though they are not at fault here.

If not I'd suggest doing it soon.Normally we don't cover packages that have been marked as “Delivered”, but I can make an exception in this case. Sadly we don't have any of these headphones in stock, so the best I can do is offer a full refund of $214.49 to your original payment method. This should be reflected on your statement within 2 to 3 business days, depending on your financial institution. "
I've had a chat with Fremont PD and filed a report. They have been extremely helpful too. I got a pretty clear pic of them ringing my doorbell to have a chat about the stolen package.

You can push charges(as for my case our cameras caught the license plate #), but were discouraged when we learned that the pair which stole my package might be part of a larger group. They also went ahead and stole our f*ng mail from our mailbox and attempted some identity theft like applying for credit cards and such.
The community here used to be awesome, but sadly as it's developing the community has deteriorated, crime rate has increased, and traffic is absolutely hideous now.

SomeTechNoobWell petty crime in the bay area in general has been going up. I agree traffic has been getting pretty bad but hopefully with the Raiders moving to NV it will get better :D
