Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

I received these headphones and was SO EXCITED to open them as a Christmas present to myself. However, I was CRESTFALLEN to find the most expensive pair of headphones I have ever owned have a very noticeable spot where paint is just missing (you can see its on the black part of the headphones) near the cushion.
I *THOUGHT* I was buying new headphones, but then I found apparently I'm received used/damaged headphones for the price of new headphones. On top of this, I had to wait 4 months for them to arrive.
Upon opening a support request with Massdrop (MD-42703-2040097) they told me in so many words "not our problem, contact the manufacturer". And then when I sent a follow up response, no response from them. The silence is deafening. I hope that before they take down this post (for some silly reason) some people get to see it and make a decision to think twice.
It's sad that my first experience with this company has been so challenging.
I wish you all the best, even if I disagree with you.
Who actually builds an item which is labeled "Massdrop Made?" Is a defect a shared responsibility?
The itsy-bitsy, teeny-weenie, white molecule is being blamed on Sennheiser, yet Massdrop seems to claim proprietary interest in this listing.
Who is actually responsible for warranty claims?
Maybe I bother to read past simple statements to try come to a further understanding of a situation.
But, it is rather rare that Massdrop forms a collaboration with a manufacturer. Usually they only act as a sales broker. When it is stated as "Massdrop Made" and "Massdrop X Sennheiser," there is a direct implication of something other than mere brokerage. Until the implications of the collaboration are understood, those in the drop remain a bit in the dark of how to proceed with concerns.
In simple words: Who do I contact for what?
