jah_offisah808I'm new to the wired headphones game (I usually only use bluetooth headphones). I'm still trying to figure out this balanced cables concept. Are the cables that come stock with HD 6XX balanced or not? Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks. Matthew 7:12

cinnamonroll72To use balanced cables for you HD 6XX, you are goin to need to invest in Headphone amp that has a balanced input.
There are all kinds of amps that has balanced input and I recommend schiit.com and check out the Jotenheim AMP and DAC combo. I'm not sure if you know about DAC's ( Digital Audio Converters ) as well?

I've got custom sound systems in both of my cars, and I have 11 different styles of bluetooth headphones (all from Bluedio). I've got to have music with me almost everywhere I go and with almost everything I'm doing. I've leaned toward the convenience of Bluetooth headphones but also watched several videos and read several articles about the "high end" wired headphones. I was familiar with the Sennheiser 650's from these videos but would NEVER consider paying hundreds of dollars for headphones. Thankfully I came across a video about the 6XX and realized that the Massdrop $199 price point was worth paying for such a premium pair of headphones (especially since I don't own any primarily wired headphones).

jah_offisah808Once I purchased the 6XX's, I did follow the various videos and posts online to get educated on the AMP/DAC addition process. I ended up getting the Massdrop Objective 02 amp, but I don't know if that one has a balanced input or not??? I chose that one because it seems to be "portable enough" and should be able to offer the flexibility to amplify the 6XX's and the wide range of Bluedio headphones I already have. I mostly only use the Bluedio's via Bluetooth, but I'm interested to see how much of a difference using the amp with them wired will make compared to using them with Bluetooth.
