This drop was active for over a month, how could you have miss it? anyways think they sold 10K units, of course I bought mine and if they ship them on schedule I should be listening to my HD 6XX in March =)
Can't wait, I simply can't, get goosebumps just thinking how Hotel California is going to sound in them. Good luck on next drop.
mamucasI think you are too excited. They sound like HD5XX open backs. There is some difference in lower midrange and treble. But, don't expect them to be blown away. The Phillips SH9500 has a very similar sound signature. You can compare FRs on rtings.com
MoesI think not, maybe you need to listen to them so you understand, I have owned many brands, seenheiser included and they give you the best high fidelity of all of them in my opinion, then again everybody is different, I just never owned the 650's only tried them when I went to a shop here in Vegas and I loved them, so yes I'm extremely excited about finally owning them.
MoesI really like my 9500s. Bass is the biggest disappointment with them. But I can EQ that up. SHP 9500 is still one of the best cans that can be had for under $100.. Slap a pair of HM5 memory foam pads on them for all-day comfort.
timothomWell for $100 bucks, I got my SteelSeries Artics 7(I'm a pc gamer), which is a gaming wireless headset and comes with the EQ software so you can adjust them on the fly depending on what you're doing, gaming or just listening to music, the music sounds way better than a lot of the $300 headphones, if you go to the store and they have them on display I suggest give them a try, you might like them.
Being SteelSeries you need nothing to add to them, they're comfortable as hell, remember they're for gaming so they've been designed to be worn for hours at a time.
timothomLike I said before, I don't pretend to be an expert but I know what I like, I have tested and owned many brands, even ones that you never heard of like the SteelSeries for example and I can honestly tell you that if you want the maximum sound fidelity, where you can distinctly hear each and every instrument played by your favorite band, nothing like Sennheiser, they made me a believer LOL.
som3dudeThanks but I bought mine in the November/December drop, as a matter of fact today I got my notification that mine are being shipped today, they even provided me with a tracking number from FedEx. says they're sending them from Edison NJ, so my guess they should be here in no more than 10 days. =)
