So what options do I have when we talk about amps for these headphones? Would these headphones work well in a turntable type of setup as seen in Unbox Therapy? I'm new to the Audiophile community so go easy on me.

gvjeffI like to think of it like cooking. Start with good ingredients or your end product won't ever be what it could be. So start with good quality audio, whether an analog turntable type setup with a preamp, or high quality digital files and dac (digital to analog converter). I stream music from Tidal at lossless quality. Sound so much better than Spotify premium. I run my headphones through a dac (either dragonfly or Fiio E10K), and then power my headphones with a Shiit Magni (or the FIIO E10K). If you are running from a turntable, you will need an amp to boost the signal. if you already have a turn table, I would highly recommend looking into a Schiit Magni 3. best bang for your 100 bucks. Hope that helps! I can't wait to get my HD6XX's to take my setup up a notch. Hopefully a couple notches! :)

gvjeffI recently purchased an Audio-Technica AT-LP120 its direct drive and comes with a AT95E Cartridge. I've had it for a couple months now and I love it. Great sound quality for the money and you could always upgrade the cartridge and maybe ditch the felt mat for cork or rubber down the line.
