All my other phones (besides IEMs) are AKG, and I'm enjoying the sound signature of these a lot. The main difference apparent right away is how the Sennheisers seem to conduct sound through my head, there's more "thunk" than any of the AKGs (K501, K7XX, K553 pro). It's a less airy, but engaging presentation, and so far doesn't seem fatiguing at all. Easily driven by Schiit Magni 3, Topping A30, and Fiio X3 II, with roughly equivalent volume settings to the K7XX. Neither the clamping force or the headband contact point have been uncomfortable over the course of a few hours. I may order the stock 3m OEM cable, as the shorter cable is a bit restricting when I want to get up and move around my desk.
