Hey I'm wondering how these would work at a coffee shop? I like to write in a coffee shop with headphones on for white noise more than listening to the music. Obviously, I also want these for more critical sessions at home. But, I'd also like to take them along for coffee shop writing sessions. Will they disturb other folk around me since they're open back? How bad is the sound leakage? I never really listen to music at high volumes, even less so when writing. For reference, I usually use my trusty DT 880s for this purpose, and they never seem to bother anyone, but I'm looking for a new pair.

Steve234These are truly open back meaning everyone around you will be able to hear what you are listening. I'll say look for a closed back if you want to bring headphones to a public place like a coffee shop.

Steve234I think it will serve ur purpose just right and tbh i a coffee shop nobody gonna notice white noise anyway. I don't have dt880 but i have a dt990 one and they leak the same amount of sound. U can just grab it now before it's gone again.

Steve234If you have the on really quiet, it shouldn't be an issue, but you won't get the white noise you're looking for. You'll be able to hear everything going around outside. Also, if you're driving 6xx's with a smartphone at a coffeeshop, it'll sound pretty blah at low volumes anyway. You might as well just grab a set of cheap IEMs for that purpose.
