I've been planning to buy these headphones for a while now but i don't know how to choose an AMP or a DAC so if anyone has any recommendations that won't break my wallet please share.

kipaBest results you need a usb DAC to properly drive a tube amp like the DarkVoice 336/se OTL. This is a match made in heaven. Sound-card/motherboard audio is noisy and the DV will pick that up and amplify it! I'm using the SMSL T1 to drive my DV powering these headphones. You could get by with just the T1 for 300 or less ohm headphones. One of my sons is very happy with the T1 alone driving a set of 250 ohm headphones. Much better than using his motherboard audio output to the DV and his headphones. for 300 and 600 ohm headphones the DV 336 is outstanding! You could use a cheap usb DAC to drive the DV if you wanted. USB audio eliminates lots of interference! I just bought a pair of 600 ohm headphones that have not been delivered yet. My other son has a cheap DAC and 600 ohm cans for music mixing. He is getting an upgraded DV and maybe the SMSL T1 for Christmas!

kipaI've got a Schiit Modi2 DAC and an old HeadRoom Micro Amp and its a great combo. I'm waiting for a backordered Schiit Valhalla tube amp - hoping that is even a better pairing. Good luck with your choices; read up and watch some Youtube reviews.
