kunalkumarWhat will be the shipping cost to the Netherlands for these headphones which, according to other comments, are being made in Ireland. Will they directly ship from Ireland to other countries in the EU? This would save a lot of shipping costs and import handling costs by the shipping company....
Peugeot205CTIThey ship from Ireland to the US and then back here again - that's just how it works, so if your country's uppity about taxing and handling you're going to get shafted. Nothing MD can do about that though, logistics are probably out of their control. The shipping cost should be low however, $15 sounds accurate, that tends to be the price to Portugal on drops like this one and I'd imagine it'd be the exact same (roughly at least) to the Netherlands.
VigrithWith $15 dollar shipping costs plus state tax of 21% and custom clearing charges the total price in € would then be around 250€ which is around 70€ cheaper then the HD650 is now selling in the Netherlands. Mmm interesting. On the other hand I can buy a HD650 online today and have it tomorrow in home whereas this Massdrop will hopefully be delivered just before new year.. Choices, choices.. Or should I just stick to my old Sennheiser HD560 Ovation???
Peugeot205CTIYea that sounds about right. If the 70 extra don't particularly bother you and you don't mind the standard finish as opposed to the nice new deep midnight blue colour and have no need for a shorter cable (think they're offering 4pin XLR connectors too for balanced amps if that's relevant) then I'd say just get the standard 650s off of Amazon UK or something.
I'd wait for these though personally, dealing with customs can be a pain if your country's annoying with releasing packages but I'd say the wait is worth it just because the new colour looks fantastic and having a shorter 4 pin cable will be great to go with my new Jotunheim. Up to you though, old finish looks cool too!
